another kept secret recipe...

Frankly ..i never published this recipe anywhere...not even rewrite in any form since i first wrote it in my antique recipe book when i was in my schooldays....
this recipe was passed from my late mak long to my mom..handed to me to be tested, improvise n weight precisely...
the original version was measured in 'mangkuk', satu ringgit, segenggam n so forth..errrr how are u gonna determine dat your mangkuk is the same as mine, rite?

here's the original standard measured version:

Kuah Rojak

30g dried shrimp
20g garlic
100g shallot
25g dried chilli
65g red chilli
20g belacan
300g sugar
2 tbsp shrimp paste
2 tbsp cornflour
3/4 c vinegar
1 bottle soy sauce

blend everything, simmer till thick, adjust seasoning to taste
to serve:
mixed a few dollop of kuah rojak with sliced cucumber, jicama, pineapple or any addition of your fav fruits. sprinkle with chopped t oasted nut and sesame. ready to serve

i've done alotta improvisation to my current version of the recipe, to make it more economical to be mass produced, to develop a tastier concoction..

i'm simmering one on the stove now..once done i'll put up the pix ya..:)
