This dish is easily found in the northen states..its an aquired taste tho..some may like it, some may not. It can be eaten just like dat with plain rice and other dishes or can be turned into delicious kerabu.
Used to make the jeruk maman from scratch [pokok maman fermented with cooked rice, salt and sugar for days]...but hey..why bother when u can find it easily in 'pasar malam' or 'nat'

Jeruk Maman Mentah
- jeruk maman bersama airnya sekali
- bawang besar - dimayang halus
- cili merah+ cili padi - dimayang nipis
- limau kasturi
bubuh jeruk maman ke dalam pinggan hidang, taburkan bawang, hirisan cili dan perahkan sedikit aje limau kasturi. Siap untuk dihidangkan...
Kerabu Maman I
- semangkuk jeruk maman- bersihkan n buangkan airnya
- ikan temenung - rebus/kukus/bakar pastu amik isi sahaja
- bwg merah - mayang halus
- cili merah/cili padi - mayang halus
- garam gula secukup rasa
- perahan limau kesturi
gaulkan semua bahan.. dan perisakan secukup rasa. limau kesturi tu sket aje..utk bau lemony, jeruk maman dah cukup masam
Kerabu Maman II
- semangkuk jeruk maman - bersihkan n buang airnya
- ikan temenung - kukus/bakar/rebus n asingkan isinya
- bwg merah - di mayang halus
- cili merah n cili padi
- belacan
- garam gula secukup rasa
- limau kesturi
